DESCRIPTION:The 2015 AHRQ research conference\, “Producing Evidence and Engaging Partners to Improve Health Care”\, cohosted with AcademyHealth  will be held October 4–6 at the Crystal Gateway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center in Crystal City\, Virginia. This year\, AHRQ and AcademyHealth are expanding the call for abstracts to showcase the breadth and depth of AHRQ-sponsored work and highlight the many ways that AHRQ research\, data\, and tools are contributing to measurable improvements in health care. AHRQ and AcademyHealth are pleased to invite organizations and individuals\, AHRQ grantees and contractors\, currently receiving AHRQ funding or were funded no earlier than 2012 to submit original research\, including implementation research and evaluation\, for display as posters. Submissions are being accepted through June 3 and will be accepted in the following thematic areas: Improving Health Care Quality; Making Health Care Safer; Increasing Accessibility to Health Care; Improving Health Care Affordability\, Efficiency\, and Cost Transparency; Racial Ethnic Disparities; Research on Dissemination and Implementation Science. SUMMARY:Global Maternal Newborn Health Conference - México
DESCRIPTION:The Secretariat of Health of Mexico\, together with convening partners\, will host the first-ever Global Maternal Newborn Health Conference in Mexico City from October 18 to 21. This landmark conference will discuss strategies for reaching every mother and newborn with high-quality health care. The meeting will enable technical discussions highlighting approaches and lessons from programs\, policies\, research\, and advocacy for improving both maternal and newborn health. It offers the first opportunity for the global maternal and newborn health communities to strategize on how to meet the new post-2015 health goals translating commitments into concrete action. \nThe conference will be attended by technical implementers\, policymakers\, researchers and practitioners from more than 50 countries who submitted abstracts through a peer-review process. Additional participants include critical individuals from high-burden\, low-income countries and convening partners who support implementation efforts worldwide.
